At Public City, we design, curate and produce authentic strategies and experiences that foster community and engage the public to advance our cities and the communities we serve.

WE BUILD PROGRAMS

We work with clients to connect to the people that matter to them. Leading with content, culture and creativity, we design and execute programs that drive deep engagement between our clients and their constituent groups. The execution varies: it might take the shape of an art installation, a symposium, or perhaps a pop-up experience. Regardless of the format, we always strive for high touch, high impact programs that reinforce our clients' missions.

WE CRAFT STRATEGIES

Clients enlist us to help shape strategies for engaging and connecting with their publics. And whether we are brought on for the planning phase, or to craft a strategy that will become the foundation of a program, stopping to really understand the "why" behind the work is always our starting place. Mission driven and rooted in positive social impact, we work on both cause-focused and place-based initiatives.

Downtown Austin Alliance
- International Recognition for Excellence in Urban Place Management
  - The Downtown Austin Alliance (Downtown Alliance) and the Downtown Austin Alliance Foundation (Foundation) were recognized by the International Downtown Association (IDA) with Downtown Achievement Awards of Excellence for it’s work and initiatives related to the Urban Land Institute (ULI) panel on I-35

  - Place-based economic development program Souly Austin created six distinct merchant associations to open a continuous dialogue between community stakeholders and the City of Austin. Each business district is recognized as a culturally rich and diverse community and is provided with a flexible set of tools to meet each district's individual needs.
Preservation Austin
- Preservation Austin Merit Award
  - Public City was awarded Preservation Austin’s annual Preservation Merit Award tht honors visionary approaches to preserving our city’s unique architectural, cultural, and environmental heritage. By recognizing outstanding individuals, businesses, organizations, and institutions, we hope to inspire others to carry on this important work.
